Koering Custom Furniture, LLC. has been building custom furniture since 1997, originally under the name Freestyle Design Woodworks, Inc. We specialize in high end, one-of-a-kind projects for both private individual residences and commercial spaces. All pieces are hand worked at our workshop in Phoenix, Arizona, where we pay special attention to every detail. We pack and crate any freestanding piece for shipment anywhere in the United States.
Jon Koering began creating furniture pieces as a personal interest and turned his love for artistry and woodworking into a career after fulfilling requests for his pieces became a full ti
me endeavor. Jon is proud to be the son of a high school shop teacher and learned much of his base of knowledge from his patient and loving father. He took that knowledge and soared with creativity. His many years of experience and innate talent are the core of every piece created by Koering Custom Furniture, LLC.
Monica Overley joined Koering Custom Furniture, LLC. in 1999. She has studied architecture and interior design and has many years of experience working with a
rchitects, designers and other professionals. Monica was originally involved in both the design and production phases of creating custom pieces with Jon. After relocating to New York City she is now focusing on design and uses her years of production experience and knowledge to design workable, beautiful custom pieces. Monica follows the design philosophy of Frank Lloyd Wright.... “Form follows function”.
